Fantastic session! It's been ages since I've had a really enjoyable sail
in the waves so the fact that they were only shoulder-high at most didn't
matter, nor did the lack of sun.
It was one of those sessions when everything is rigged perfectly and the
sail feels weightless in the hands, no matter what the wind is doing. In
fact the wind was varying from virtually zero at times on the inside to big
gusts on the outside, but it didn't really matter.
Only a handfull of people out here, so no-one ever got in the way and you
could zip between ramps and waves playing with whichever you liked. Some
nice steep jump-ramps on the way out, and some occasionally big and
rideable waves on the way in (much nicer that Shoreham would have been I'm
sure).
Despite quite a bit of blobbing around and a lot of out-of-harness stuff on
the waves over the 2hrs-ish, it wasn't at all tiring on the arms
(everything was sooo comfortable). I gave up due to impending cramp in the
legs, though!
A couple of kiters joined us in the end - one was doing some VERY smooth
wave-riding which was nice to see! (I don't normally find it interesting to
watch, but I did in this case...)
What an excellent day - enjoyed with a couple of friends too.
